Conference location
The conference will be held in Bucharest, at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest – UPB (current full name: National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest), Central Library Building, 4th floor. The Library Building is in the University Campus, Splaiul Independentei 313, sector 6, close to the UPB Rectorate Building.
University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (UPB), founded in 1818, is currently the largest and the oldest technical university in the country and among the most prestigious universities in Romania. UPB ensures a performant education, developed and perfected through a complex research activity, continuing the tradition of the Polytechnic School of Bucharest, according to the exigencies and the means offered by the modern information society. It aims to create a new technical university profile, which promotes forms of training adapted to the requirements of a competing society, subject to the integration process in the European and international community. Currently, UPB conducts educational activities in the technical fields – it comprises 15 faculties, and 14 doctoral schools, over 180 master’s programs and well over 30,000 students. Until the present moment, our university has signed over 300 cooperation agreements with universities from 60 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and South America, respectively. Moreover, UPB is an active partner in the Erasmus program, with over 270 mobility agreements with the partner universities.
UPB has 68 research centres and over 500 implemented research projects in the last three years. The latest research facilities are CAMPUS (Research Centre for Advanced Materials, Products, and Processes) and PRECIS (The Research Centre for Intelligent Products, Processes, and Services) research institutes with over 70 new laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. These state-of-the-art infrastructures and equipment create facilities for research activities and allow the interconnection of UPB in research networks, at national and international level with other universities as well as important industry partners.
